Her Excellency Academician Minister Receives Farewell Call from Mr. NAGASE Kensuke, Chargé d’Affaires a.i. and Interim Head of Mission of the Embassy of Japan to Cambodia
On August 17, 2026, at the ministry headquarters, Her Excellency Academician Minister Phoeurng Sackona, Minister of Culture and Fine Arts, received a farewell call from Mr. NAGASE Kensuke, Chargé d’Affaires a.i. and Interim Head of Mission of the Embassy of Japan to the Kingdom of Cambodia, upon the completion of his diplomatic tenure in Cambodia.
During the farewell meeting, Her Excellency Academician Minister expressed her gratitude to the Royal Government of Japan as well as the Embassy of Japan in Cambodia for their continuous support to Cambodia in the cultural sector—both tangible and intangible—including the conservation, preservation, and restoration of various temples in Cambodia, particularly in the Angkor site, noting also Japan’s vital role as Co-Chair of the ICC-Angkor. Concurrently, Her Excellency Academician Minister wished Mr. NAGASE Kensuke great success in his new endeavors, and both sides reaffirmed their joint commitment to further strengthening and expanding new avenues of cultural cooperation in the future.
