Director General of APSARA National Authority and Deputy Director General of China Academy of Cultural Heritage Meet for Work Discussions at the Angkor Thom Royal Palace Site
The conservation, restoration, and rehabilitation project of the Angkor Thom Royal Palace is a collaborative effort between the APSARA National Authority and the China Academy of Cultural Heritage (CACH).
On June 11, 2026, H.E. Dr. Hang Peou, Director General of the APSARA National Authority, and Mr. Huang Xiaofan, Deputy Director General of the China Academy of Cultural Heritage, accompanied by deputy directors general, department heads, technical officers, and the Chinese project team, held a working meeting at the site of the ancient Angkor Thom Royal Palace.
The discussions focused closely on implementing the guidelines issued by the Ad Hoc Experts of ICC-Angkor/Sambor Prei Kuk during the recent 42nd Technical Session. This compliance aims to guarantee effective project execution, ensuring smooth conservation and restoration operations alongside successful outcomes for the Angkor Thom Royal Palace restoration project.
