Cycling and obstacle running event under the theme “The Road to Isanapura Capital, Pre-Angkorian Chenla” at Sambor Prei Kuk Archaeological Site
Sunday, the 6th waning day of the first Ashadha month, Year of the Horse, Octosok, Buddhist Era 2570, corresponding to July 5, 2026, the cycling and obstacle running event under the theme “The Road to Isanapura Capital, Pre-Angkorian Chenla” at Sambor Prei Kuk Temple Resort was co-organized by the Ministry of Tourism, Kampong Thom Provincial Administration, KK Running Club, and the National Authority for Sambor Prei Kuk to celebrate the 9th anniversary of the inclusion of the “Sambor Prei Kuk Temple Zone” in the World Heritage List, July 8, 2017 – July 8, 2026. For cycling, the distance was 42 kilometers, and for running, the distances were 9 kilometers, 21 kilometers, and 42 kilometers, while the cycling distance was 42 kilometers. The event was honored by the presence of H.E. Huot Hak, Minister of Tourism, H.E. Nuon Pharat, Governor of the Board of Governors of Kampong Thom Province, representatives of the Ministry of Culture and Fine Arts and the National Authority for Sambor Prei Kuk, as well as the participation of civil servants, citizens, students, national tourists, and international tourists, totaling nearly 1,000 people.
