Congratulations on the 75th Anniversary of the Kingdom of Cambodia joining as a member of UNESCO (July 3, 1951 ~ July 3, 2026)
Since Cambodia became a member of UNESCO, Cambodia has inscribed 4 tangible cultural heritages, 7 intangible cultural heritages, and 3 Memory of the World registers to preserve the original form of its culture as well as the priceless heritage left by Cambodian ancestors, and as a memory of Cambodia’s history, which include:
- Tangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity:
- Angkor Site, inscribed on December 14, 1992, in Santa Fe, United States
- Temple of Preah Vihear, inscribed on July 7, 2008, in Quebec City, Canada
- Temple Zone of Sambor Prei Kuk, inscribed on July 8, 2017, in Krakow, Poland
- Koh Ker Temple Resort, inscribed on September 17, 2023, in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
- Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity:
- Royal Ballet of Cambodia, inscribed on November 7, 2003, in Istanbul, Turkey
- Sbek Thom shadow theater, inscribed on November 25, 2005, in Paris, France
- Tugging rituals and games, inscribed on December 2, 2015, in Windhoek, Namibia
- Chapei Dang Veng, inscribed on November 30, 2016, in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia
- Lkhon Khol Wat Svay Andet, inscribed on November 28, 2018, in Port Louis, Republic of Mauritius
- Kun Lbokator, inscribed on November 29, 2022, in Rabat, Kingdom of Morocco
- Khmer Krama, inscribed on December 4, 2024, in Asunción, Republic of Paraguay.
