West Mebon Temple attracts tourists ahead of its official inauguration.

Currently, the restoration work at West Mebon Temple has been fully completed. As the APSARA National Authority busily prepares, cleans, organizes order, and enhances the surrounding environment of the temple, numerous tourists have been seen visiting and taking photos. Most visitors are captivated by the view of West Mebon Temple floating in the middle of an island surrounded by water and express admiration for its exceptional architecture. Furthermore, they praise the years of dedication and hard work by the APSARA National Authority team in restoring and elevating its value.

Under the cooperation between the APSARA National Authority and the French Government, West Mebon Temple has emerged anew after having suffered extensive damage and loss to a major portion of its structure. Located in the middle of the West Baray and encircled by vast waters, West Mebon Temple exhibits unique beauty and aesthetics that change throughout the day from dawn to sunset, continuously attracting an unending flow of tourists.

Please be informed that following the completion of restoration work, West Mebon Temple is scheduled to be officially inaugurated for public visits this coming November 2026.
