Ministry of Culture and Fine Arts Holds Gathering with Veteran Artists Under the High Presidency of Her Excellency Academician Minister Phoeurng Sackona
On the morning of Friday, August 14, 2026, the Ministry of Culture and Fine Arts hosted a gathering with veteran artists under the high presidency of Her Excellency Academician Minister Phoeurng Sackona, Minister of Culture and Fine Arts. The event took place at Tonle Bassac Restaurant and was attended by leadership of the Ministry, the Head of the Department of Cultural, Religious, and Historical Movement Promotion of the Union of Youth Federations of Cambodia (UYFC), Neak Oknha Chin Samnang (CEO of CSNJ Co., Ltd.), along with honored guests, veteran artists, professors, teachers, active artists, and members of UYFC for Culture and Fine Arts, totaling approximately 150 participants.
On that occasion, Her Excellency Academician Minister expressed her deep nostalgia and delight in having the opportunity to meet directly with the veteran artists who have dedicated their physical strength, mind, lives, and invaluable works to promoting the field of culture and fine arts over the years. She highlighted that Khmer culture has survived and thrived to this day owing to the remarkable resilience of veteran artists, regardless of past hardships. They serve as strong pillars and the precious foundation of national identity, allowing younger generations of artists to learn and understand the rich cultural roots of the Khmer nation.
Concurrently, Her Excellency Academician Minister expressed her deep gratitude to the UYFC Department of Cultural, Religious, and Historical Movement Promotion and CSNJ Co., Ltd. for jointly organizing the event, as well as Vattanac Brewery, SKN9 Investment, Kofi, and Wellgoline for sponsoring food and supplies to make this meaningful gathering possible.
