On the morning of Wednesday, August 19, 2026, His Excellency Hei Virak, Head of the Union of Youth Federations of Cambodia (UYFC) Working Group for Culture and Fine Arts, representing Her Excellency Academician Minister Phoeurng Sackona, Minister of Culture and Fine Arts, led a working group to visit a veteran film director and former comedians in Phnom Penh and Kampong Speu Province.

Her Excellency Academician Minister consistently demonstrates deep care and attention toward officials at all levels, including retirees, veteran artists, and masters across all art disciplines. She regularly dedicates time, effort, and resources—either in person or through designated representatives—to offer encouragement and find solutions to the difficulties faced by senior officials and former-generation artists.

During the visit, His Excellency called upon Mr. Sak Sithon, a veteran film director who has made notable contributions to the culture and fine arts sector, currently residing in Village 6, Sangkat Tuek La’ak 2, Khan Toul Kork, Phnom Penh. Next, he visited Mr. Pol Sareong (famously known as “Neay Taxi”), a former comedian currently undergoing medical treatment at Preah Kossamak Hospital (commonly called Lok Sang Hospital), whose residence is located in Osaphea Village, Sangkat Ponsang, Khan Prek Pnov, Phnom Penh. Finally, he visited Mr. Lam Bun Sen (famously known as “Neay Kreong”), a former comedian and official at the Kampong Speu Provincial Department of Culture and Fine Arts, at his home in Ang Serei Village, Sangkat Roka Thom, Chbar Mon City, Kampong Speu Province.

It is worth noting that Mr. Sak Sithon is a renowned former director whose major works include Techo Domdin, Phum Tirachhan, Phka Sropoun, Chroas Sneh Pich Nil, among many others. Meanwhile, Mr. Pol Sareong (“Neay Taxi”) and Mr. Lam Bun Sen (“Neay Kreong”) are former comedians who brought smiles and laughter to audiences through television comedy programs and live stage performances.

On that occasion, His Excellency conveyed warm greetings from His Excellency Hun Many, President of the Union of Youth Federations of Cambodia, and Her Excellency Academician Minister Phoeurng Sackona, Minister of Culture and Fine Arts. Concurrently, His Excellency presented monetary support from Her Excellency Academician Minister Phoeurng Sackona to all three individuals.
