National Authority for Preah Vihear Continues Conservation and Restoration Work on Prasat Balang Tboung in the Koh Ker Resort Site

On September 9, 2026, the Department of Conservation and Archaeology of the National Authority for Preah Vihear, led by Mr. Phin Phakdey, Deputy Director of the Department, alongside technical officials and skilled restoration workers, organized a traditional blessing ceremony to execute the final phase of the conservation and restoration project on Prasat Balang Tboung. This project encompasses two major tasks: 1) restoring the pedestal foundation using traditional techniques to reinforce its structural integrity, and 2) reassembling the pedestal, Linga statue, and Snanan Droni (ceremonial ablution pedestal) back in their original location.
