Krong Peali and offering ceremony held at Tuol Sleng Museum.
On the afternoon of Sunday, October 4, 2026, corresponding to the 8th Day of Kan Ben, His Excellency Hab Touch, Permanent Secretary of State and high representative of Her Excellency Academician Phoeurng Sackona, Minister of Culture and Fine Arts, presided over the Krong Peali and offering ceremony to ask permission from the local spirits to host the Kan Ben and Pchum Ben festival at the Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum, scheduled for the morning of October 5, 2026.
The event was attended by ministry leaders, representatives of the Phnom Penh Capital Administration, representatives of the Union of Youth Federations of Cambodia (UYFC), museum officials and staff, local authorities from Boeung Keng Kang District and Boeung Keng Kang 3 Sangkat, relatives of victims, and residents living around the Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum.
