Her Excellency Academician Phoeurng Sackona attends a solidarity dinner with senior artists.
On the evening of October 6, 2026, at the Cambodiana Hotel, Her Excellency Academician Phoeurng Sackona, Minister of Culture and Fine Arts, attended a solidarity dinner with senior artists. The event was attended by Neak Oknha Lok Chumteav Mao Chamnan Kith Meng, President of the Khmer Artists Association, Neak Oknha Kith Meng, President of the Cambodia Chamber of Commerce, alongside Their Excellencies, Neak Oknha, Oknha, gentlemen, ladies, and numerous artists.
Organized by the Khmer Artists Association on the occasion of the traditional Khmer Pchum Ben festival, this event aimed to commemorate and express gratitude to veteran artists who have dedicated their physical, mental, and intellectual strength to preserving, transferring knowledge, and promoting national arts and culture.
Speaking on that occasion, Her Excellency Academician Minister highlighted that artists across all disciplines play a key role in preserving the fine traditional culture and arts bequeathed by Khmer ancestors, as well as developing and promoting this precious heritage to younger generations and on the international stage. The Ministry of Culture and Fine Arts will continue to cooperate with and support all art associations and creative professionals, while maintaining its guardian role in providing guidance, orientation, technical assistance, and encouragement for all artistic endeavors. Additionally, the ministry will continue to provide guidance and corrective feedback to address errors, orienting appropriate conduct to uphold dignity and prevent potential negative impacts on national culture and traditions.
