Her Excellency Academician Minister receives Her Excellency Silke RÖFER, Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to Cambodia.

On October 7, 2026, at the Ministry headquarters, Her Excellency Academician Phoeurng Sackona, Minister of Culture and Fine Arts, received Her Excellency Silke RÖFER, Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to the Kingdom of Cambodia, for a courtesy call and to discuss cooperation in the cultural sector.

During the meeting, Her Excellency Academician Minister welcomed and congratulated Her Excellency Ambassador on her new appointment. Furthermore, Her Excellency Academician Minister expressed her gratitude to the German government for its continuous support to Cambodia in both tangible and intangible cultural fields, the preservation and restoration of various temples in Cambodia, particularly in human resource training, research, and management at the Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum. Simultaneously, both sides pledged to jointly strengthen and expand new cooperation in the cultural sector, as well as provide scholarships for Cambodian students to continue their studies in Germany in the future.
