The 2026 Cambodia-China Film Exchange Week was successfully held in Fuzhou, Fujian Province

From July 2 to 5, 2026, Mr. Lim Yousour, Deputy Director General of the General Department of Cultural Techniques, representing the Ministry of Culture and Fine Arts, led the Cambodian delegation to participate and co-organize the 2026 Cambodia-China Film Exchange Week in Fuzhou City, Fujian Province, People’s Republic of China. The event was co-organized by the Organizing Committee of the Cambodia Asian Film Festival, the Administrations of Fuzhou City and Fujian Province, the China Film Archive, and the Silk Road International Film Festival, with the participation of experts and professionals in the film industry from both countries. On this occasion, the Cambodian delegation attended the official opening ceremony, which featured an Apsara dance performance, the screening of Cambodian films, and the signing of agreements between production and private companies of both countries.

In addition, the program also organized a forum on “Old Film Restoration Technology,” featuring the participation of experts to share experiences and strengthen technical capacities in the preservation and development of old film restoration technologies. At the same time, the Cambodian delegation also visited the China Film Archive’s digital resource center in Anxi (Anxi Digital Resource Center) to learn about film restoration technology, strengthen the exchange of experiences, and explore future cooperation opportunities.

This event contributed significantly to strengthening the friendship and cooperation between Cambodia and the People’s Republic of China in the fields of culture and film, focusing on heritage preservation and the continuous development of the film industry.
