500 Ornamental Trees Planted Along the Entrance Road to Koh Ker Temple Site on Arbor Day
To celebrate Arbor Day on Thursday, the 10th day of the waning moon of the 1st Ashadha month, Year of the Horse, Atthasak, B.E. 2570, corresponding to July 9, 2026, the National Authority for Preah Vihear collaborated with relevant institutions and local communities—comprising a total of 50 participants—to organize a tree-planting ceremony. During the event, 500 ornamental saplings were planted along both sides of the entrance road to the Koh Ker Temple Site.
This program is part of the ongoing efforts in natural resource management and forest restoration aimed at enhancing the landscape within the Koh Ker Temple Site. It seeks to increase green cover, provide shade, and boost the site’s appeal to national and international tourists visiting the area.
