Her Excellency the Minister Receives H.E. Sonexay VANNAXAY, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic to the Kingdom of Cambodia

On July 9, 2026, Her Excellency Dr. Phoeurng Sackona, Minister of Culture and Fine Arts, received H.E. Sonexay VANNAXAY, the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic to the Kingdom of Cambodia, for a courtesy call and discussion on cultural cooperation at the Ministry.

During the meeting, Her Excellency the Minister extended a warm welcome and congratulated His Excellency on his appointment as the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Lao PDR to Cambodia. Furthermore, both sides reviewed past joint collaborations and discussed various future cooperation projects. Specifically, they focused on the preparation of cultural activities to celebrate the 70th Anniversary of the establishment of Cambodia-Laos diplomatic relations, with the aim of strengthening and promoting the cultural sector between the two countries.
