Press Conference Held for the 5th Cambodia National Short Film Festival (5th CNSFF)
On the morning of August 24, 2026, at Fable Cinema, the Organizing Committee of the 5th Cambodia National Short Film Festival held a press conference and presentation for sponsors, collaborative partners, and young filmmakers to officially launch the festival and outline its key activities for 2026. The event was presided over by His Excellency Ek Buntha, Under Secretary of State, representing Her Excellency Academician Minister Phoeurng Sackona, Minister of Culture and Fine Arts, with approximately 100 participants including filmmakers, cinema representatives, sponsoring companies, partners, and journalists.
The 5th Cambodia National Short Film Festival will run for four days, from November 3 to November 6, 2026, at Chaktomuk Conference Hall and selected cinemas across Phnom Penh, under the slogan:
“Short Films as a Stepping Stone to Feature Films”
The press conference also featured the official announcement of the festival’s Goodwill Ambassadors and provided an interactive Q&A session for members of the media.
