Ministry of Culture and Fine Arts Collaborates with Tep Monorom Khmer Arts Association to Showcase Performances at Angoulême Francophone Film Festival 2026

On August 29, 2026, the Ministry of Culture and Fine Arts, in collaboration with the Tep Monorom Khmer Arts Association in France, presented the iconic Apsara Dance at the 2026 Angoulême Francophone Film Festival (Festival du Film Francophone d’Angoulême 2026). To honor the historic legacy and royal contributions of His Majesty the Late King Father Norodom Sihanouk as a founding father of the International Organisation of La Francophonie, the performing troupe also presented “Prei Proset” (Sacred Forest), a royal work composed by the late King Father.

Cambodia was designated as the “Country of Honor” (Pays à l’honneur) for the 2026 edition of the Angoulême Francophone Film Festival.
