His Excellency Sen Kosal Presides Over Opening Workshop on “Auditing of Development Partner Financing Projects”

On the morning of September 9, 2026, His Excellency Sen Kosal, Undersecretary of State and high representative of Her Excellency Academician Minister Phoeurng Sackona, Minister of Culture and Fine Arts, presided over the opening of the workshop on “Auditing of Development Partner Financing Projects” at the Ministry of Culture and Fine Arts. The event was attended by leadership and internal audit officials from the Ministry of Culture and Fine Arts, relevant units, and Capital-Provincial Departments of Culture and Fine Arts.

The workshop was organized by the Department of Internal Audit of the Ministry of Culture and Fine Arts in collaboration with the General Department of Internal Audit of the Ministry of Economy and Finance. Its purpose was to raise awareness regarding the functions, roles, and procedures for conducting project internal audits, thereby strengthening project compliance with existing legal norms of the Royal Government of Cambodia and credit agreements with development partners. Alongside these opportunities, strengthening good governance, transparency, and accountability in budget management and utilization remains an essential primary duty.

At the same time, audit work serves as a key tool to ensure that all financial resources are used in accordance with agreements, standard guidelines, and target objectives with high efficiency.

The workshop concluded successfully with fruitful results, playing a significant role in training and enhancing the capacity of internal audit officials at the Ministry of Culture and Fine Arts to effectively manage and mitigate financial risks in institutions receiving financing from development partners.
