Her Excellency Academician Minister presides over the “Lao Cultural Days in Cambodia 2026” event celebrating the 70th anniversary of Cambodia-Laos diplomatic relations at Chaktomuk Conference Hall.

On the evening of September 21, 2026, “Lao Cultural Days in Cambodia 2026” celebrating the 70th anniversary of Cambodia-Laos diplomatic relations was held under the presidency of Her Excellency Academician Phoeurng Sackona, Minister of Culture and Fine Arts, and His Excellency Sonexay Vannaxay, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic to the Kingdom of Cambodia, at Chaktomuk Conference Hall. Speaking on the occasion, Her Excellency Academician Minister extended a warm welcome to the Lao artists led by His Excellency Khamphou Phiasackkha, Director General of Planning and International Cooperation of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic, who performed that evening. Her Excellency Academician Minister added that Cambodia and Laos have maintained historically close ties of friendship as good neighbors, sharing a special traditional friendship and a strategic partnership built on mutual trust. This artistic performance served as a platform showcasing mutual cultural exchange, reflecting the close cultural cooperation between the two nations.

The Ministry of Culture and Fine Arts remains committed to continuing to strengthen cooperation with the Lao side on artistic and cultural exchanges, human resource development, research, and the application of new technologies in the cultural sector.
