APSARA National Authority water management team is on 24-hour standby to monitor and avert rainwater flooding in the Angkor site and Siem Reap city.
Due to storm pressure over the past few days causing continuous rainfall, Siem Reap province has experienced persistent rain showers. This has resulted in rainwater flooding and massive volumes of water flowing down from Phnom Kulen. To manage this situation, the APSARA National Authority water management team remains stationed at key strategic locations to monitor and divert water through various sluice gates, preventing flooding in the Angkor site and Siem Reap city.
