APSARA National Authority Opens the 2nd Generation Special Refresher Course for Tour Guides in the Siem Reap-Angkor Area
The APSARA National Authority, in collaboration with the Ministry of Tourism and the Siem Reap Provincial Administration, launched a 5-day special refresher course for the 2nd generation of tour guides in the Siem Reap-Angkor area. The course is provided to 70 tour guides from various tourism associations, including the Japanese, Korean, Chinese, and Khmer Angkor Associations, as well as independent guides.
Presiding over the opening ceremony were Her Excellency Vann Sereyroth, Under Secretary of State of the Ministry of Tourism; Mr. Ngouv Sengkak, Deputy Governor of Siem Reap Province; and Mr. Phoan Phalla, Director of the Department of Administration and Personnel and High Representative of His Excellency Hang Peou, Director General of the APSARA National Authority, along with other leaders, officials, and staff of the APSARA National Authority.
The 2nd generation special refresher course for Siem Reap-Angkor area tour guides runs for five days, from July 13 to July 17, 2026. The program aims to further develop capacity and provide comprehensive information on recent research discoveries, the development of tourism products and services, and current trends in the tourism sector. The training is delivered by core trainers who are leaders and expert officials from the APSARA National Authority.
