Her Excellency Academician Minister Receives Ms. Aleksandra Zittle, Chargé d’Affaires a.i. of the US Embassy to Cambodia
On August 5, 2026, at the ministry headquarters, Her Excellency Academician Dr. Phoeurng Sackona, Minister of Culture and Fine Arts, received Ms. Aleksandra Zittle, Chargé d’Affaires ad interim of the Embassy of the United States of America to the Kingdom of Cambodia, for a courtesy call and work discussion. During the meeting, both sides recalled past cooperation in the field of cultural heritage, such as in the Angkor site, Preah Vihear Temple, the prevention of illicit trafficking of antiquities, and the repatriation of statues back to Cambodia. Both sides committed to further strengthening and expanding cultural relations through conservation work, human resource training, exhibitions, and several other future endeavors.
