His Excellency Keo Kanvirak, Under Secretary of State, attends the 12th International Forum on United Cultures in Saint Petersburg, Russian Federation.

From September 24 to 26, 2026, His Excellency Keo Kanvirak, Under Secretary of State and high representative of Her Excellency Academician Phoeurng Sackona, Minister of Culture and Fine Arts, led a delegation to attend the XII St. Petersburg International United Cultures Forum in Saint Petersburg, Russian Federation.

The forum convened under the theme “United Cultures – Common Values,” bringing together representatives from 73 countries to focus discussions on:

1. Culture as a bridge connecting people, building interpersonal relationships, and serving as a medium for communication, cultural dialogue, and political, economic, and cross-sectoral ties.
2. Cultural diversity, mutual cultural respect, and the development of the distinct identity and characteristics of each nation and ethnicity.
3. Shared human values in the era of digitalization, honoring family values, historical memory, innovation, and constructive endeavors grounded in mutual respect through the application of modern technologies.
4. Youth and technology: youth engagement in cultural conservation and development through the creation of new art forms and the utilization of modern technologies—such as virtual museum exhibitions, online educational programs, internships, and digital creative spaces—that facilitate the expansion of international cultural exchange.
5. Bilateral and multilateral international cultural cooperation.
6. Cultural heritage preservation, with a particular focus on heritage conservation and the integration of emerging technologies within the cultural sector.

On that occasion, His Excellency Under Secretary of State held discussions with participating delegations from friendly nations to strengthen bilateral and multilateral international cultural cooperation and promote cultural tourism in the Kingdom of Cambodia.
