Ministry of Culture and Fine Arts organizes a workshop on “The Implementation of Economic Classification of Budget Content for National Administration” to strengthen the efficiency of public financial management.

On the morning of September 29, 2026, the Ministry of Culture and Fine Arts, in collaboration with the Ministry of Economy and Finance, organized a dissemination and training workshop on “The Implementation of Economic Classification of Budget Content for National Administration” at the Ministry of Culture and Fine Arts. The workshop was presided over by His Excellency Hab Touch, Permanent Secretary of State and high representative of Her Excellency Academician Phoeurng Sackona, Minister of Culture and Fine Arts. The event was attended by leaders and technical officials, including unit heads, program directors, budget entity heads, financial technical officers, and representatives of the 25 Capital-Provincial Departments of Culture and Fine Arts. The implementation of this economic budget classification serves as a crucial tool to assist in formulating, compiling, and monitoring national budget expenditures in a targeted, transparent, accountable, and efficient manner, while facilitating auditing and performance evaluations of cultural policy implementation at both national and sub-national levels.

Through this workshop, technical officials and relevant stakeholders received detailed guidance from the working group regarding new technical procedures, the completion of budget documentation, and strategies to address challenges in daily execution. The workshop also provided an opportunity for interactive discussions, Q&A sessions, and clarifications on complex points to ensure that all participants can apply this knowledge smoothly and effectively within their respective units and capital-provincial departments.
