APSARA National Authority Organizes Internal Workshop on “Angkor and Environment”

On the morning of September 8, 2026, the APSARA National Authority organized a workshop on “Angkor and Environment” at the Angkor Conference Hall, APSARA National Authority Headquarters. The opening of the workshop was presided over by His Excellency Sok Lakhena, Head of the Angkor Environmental Management System, with presentations delivered by Mr. Un Monynita from the Angkor Environmental Management System Unit, Mr. Norn Tony, Deputy Office Chief of the Department of Public Order, and Mr. Tiev Vichet, Deputy Office Chief of the Department of Land Management, Urban Heritage and Community.

This workshop, scheduled four times annually, marked the third session in 2026 and brought together 100 officials and staff members of the APSARA National Authority. The purpose was to disseminate information and promote understanding regarding the implementation of annual environmental action plans by each department in compliance with the ISO 14001 international standard, while seeking solutions to challenges encountered during execution. Furthermore, the workshop cultivated awareness and encouraged all participants to honor and carry out their respective roles and duties to contribute to the long-term preservation and protection of the environment and cultural heritage in the Angkor site.
